MODIFIED. DELIVERED. ADAPTED.

According to your requirements we modify electric motors.

Experienced electrical machine builders and a components warehouse stocking large quantities of forced cooling fans, switches, plugs and other items required for conversion, mean that almost anything can be achieved when it comes to finding the right electric motor for your system. We can also produce unusual customisations of single-phase, pole-changing and other low-voltage motors at short notice or on a project basis.

BASIC DATA

MODIFICATION

PAINTING

Information

The motors are painted in RAL 7030 as standard. The standard coating of the motors corresponds to a transport protection which is suitable for indoor and dry outdoor installation.

TERMINAL BOX

Information

Our IEC standard motors are available in all designs according to your requirements. The terminal box is in the "top" position. For motors with aluminium housings, the terminal box position can be changed to the left or right (view to the drive side, also called A-side). For cast iron housings, the terminal box position can also be changed to the side depending on the project. As standard, the terminal box is located "close" to the A-side. For applications with tight installation conditions, turning the terminal box can be the solution. Das Klemmkastengehäuse ist dann "nahe" der B-Seite. For motors in aluminium housings, the feet can be screwed on and off if necessary. For vertical installation (especially outdoors) with the shaft facing downwards, a protective roof is recommended.

Protection class

All motors are designed as standard in protection class IP55 according to DIN EN 60529.

Bearings

Up to size 280 the motors are equipped with closed bearings as standard. From size 315 onwards, open bearings bearings with relubrication device. From size 280 onwards, we recommend the use of an insulated bearing on the non-drive side of three-phase motors. bearing on the non-drive side of three-phase motors.

Motor mode

The rated power applies to continuous operation S1 according to DIN EN 60034-1. If short-time duty (S2) or intermittent duty (S3, S6) is required, an increase in power can be expected. intermittent operation (S3, S6) is required, an increase in power is to be expected.

INFLUENCING FACTORS

Information

All motors have insulation class "F" as standard. The utilisation of the motors corresponds class "B" at rated power and mains operation. At an ambient temperature of 40°C and an installation altitude of 1000m, the motor can be operated at rated power.

MOTOR MONITORING

Information

To prevent damage to the motor due to overload, various protective devices are available. protection devices are available.

A PTC thermistor is a temperature-dependent component that emits a signal. The interruption of the motor current takes place via a tripping device which is connected to the PTC thermistor. If the measured temperature reaches a certain limit value, the resistance of the PTC rises rapidly and the motor protector switches off the motor.

A PTO bimetal release is a temperature-dependent component which interrupts the circuit as soon as the rated temperature is exceeded. If the temperature of the motor drops, it can be restarted after a short time.

A PT100 / PT1000 is a temperature-dependent component that outputs a signal. Temperature and resistance are linearly dependent on each other, so it is possible to set exactly when the motor protector should switch. The number 100 or 1000 indicates the nominal resistance at 0°C.

MORE OPTIONS

Motor control

Information

All motors up to a supply voltage of less than 500V are suitable for use with frequency inverters. suitable. For higher supply voltages, an amplification of the winding is required. For motors with a power of 0.55 to 22 kW, a frequency inverter can be set up directly. Advantages of motors with frequency converters - The speed can be infinitely adjusted - Smooth start-up via an acceleration ramp - Extensive control and monitoring of the motor Operation at low speed At low speeds, it should be noted that the motor's own cooling is no longer guaranteed above a certain range. In such a case, the use of a forced cooling fan is necessary. An exception is made for motors that are cooled via the end application. Up to a motors are self-cooled up to a frequency of 30 Hz. The minimum frequency is 5 Hz.
